What a year! Season 3 is on the way!

It has been an absolutely crazy whirlwind of a year. While most people's hunting seasons have been over for awhile, the Nick's Wild Crew has been canvassing the globe in it's never-ending quest to bring you the adventures that Nick's Wild Ride has become famous for.

I am so proud of what we have captured for Season 3. Filming started in Italy last APRIL! And we are just finishing up now. It has taken me to many places that I had never been, and a few that I was excited to revisit. I have checked off many bucket list items. I have eaten some amazing food (and a few things that weren't so amazing), met some incredibly interesting people, and had some truly spectacular hunts.

Now, as we begin finishing episodes in preparation for the Season 3 Debut on OUTDOOR CHANNEL in late June, I am really enjoying reliving these memories all over again. And, I absolutely can not wait to share them with all of you.

There were so many amazing places I traveled to this year... all over the world and here at home. But, here are a few of my favorite highlights:

NEW ZEALAND!

I revisited my good friend Richard and Sarah Burdon at Glen Dene Hunting & Fishing in New Zealand for some unfinished business. Last year, you may remember I struck out on my dream of taking a backcountry Bull Tahr. Well, this year I didn't strike out. Instead, I connected on a 15 year old giant bull!

This was one of the highlights of my hunting career. And I'm still smiling!

ALASKA!!!

I made it back to Alaska, this time to chase Grizzlies. I am absolutely smitten with Alaska and I couldn't stay away. I spent time with the Inupiat people of Kotzebue, AK and learned so much about their culture and their food. The food was unlike anything I've ever experienced and I can't wait for you to see what I eat!

ITALY!!!

I had the great fortune to hunt upland birds in Italy and visit the home of FRANCHI in Urbino, Italy. Not only did I get to hunt but I also learned a thing or two about Italian cooking and drank way too much wine!

COLORADO!!!

After a week of grinding it out on my first ever PUBLIC LAND elk hunt outside of Meeker, CO I finally connected with a beautiful bull. This hunt was special in so many ways. We spent a lot of time on horseback and saw some amazing country. I made some great new friends at Ripple Creek Lodge and ate some amazing food. And, I got to spend my birthday hunting elk! We explored the history-lacked town of Meeker and met some interesting characters, to say the least!

SPAIN!!!!

One of the highlights of my year was definitely my trip to Spain. I spent almost 2 weeks there and saw several different regions of this incredible country. It is one of the most stunningly beautiful places I've ever seen and I can't wait to go back. My host Antonio of Iber Hunting was absolutely incredible. I hunted 2 different species of Ibex and Barbary Sheep (Aoudad). Truly a trip of a lifetime and a dream come true.

KENTUCKY!!!

After years of trying I finally took a mature whitetail in full velvet in September. I shared the moment with my family and best friends at deer camp. A moment I'll never forget.

NEW MEXICO!!!

I had the amazing honor of joining a team of reenactors, or "Living Historians" at a civil war era fort outside of Lincoln, NM. I learned so much from these guys and got to fire their Mountain Howitzer cannon. Yup... that's right... I got to fire a cannon. How cool is that?

I can't wait for you all to see Season 3... Thank you for watching and making Season 2 a huge success. And, thank you to our sponsors for making it possible. Please support them.

Cheers

Nick
